Since the commencement of the project the E&M division has excavated and moved over 100 million cubic meters of material working 24 hours a day in some of the most challenging conditions.
To deliver the development platform, the E&M division has excavated and filled as required & carried out over 10 million 10 ton weight drops to compact the land.
The beach sand for the project is produced by washing suitable source material 4 times. To date the E&M sand washing plant has produced over 3 million cubic meters of washed beach sand.
Imported rock from various GCC countries has been used to construct the 16 kilometers of revetment and over 200 groyne structures.
